He Draws What He Sees (1968) H. J. Treherne, a well-known Moose Jaw artist whose specialty is rural and landscape art, is one of the few on-the-spot artists around. Mr. Treherne, for the past several weeks, has been working on a drawing of St. Andrew's United Church. And in case you wonder how he gets to work on-the-spot during the winter, the front entrance cubicle to the art-museum offers all the comforts of a home studio. Mr. Treherne works mainly in ball point pen drawings, a medium virtually unexploited by other artists. One of his shows is now on tour through the Saskatchewan Arts Board. -Moose Jaw Times-Herald, 1968 |
